Meet Deb
Born and raised just outside Coalhurst, I’ve always felt a deep connection to this community. My husband Jeff and I moved back in 2011 to raise our family in a town that reflects our values—connected, grounded and full of heart.
We now have three amazing kids; Ryker, Cooper, and our newest addition, Summer, who was born in December 2023 while I was serving on council. Like so many families here, we love the pace of small-town life and the way neighbors still look out for one another.
Over the years, I’ve worked in child and youth care, community services and recreation. My work has always centered around people; supporting them, connecting with them and making sure they feel seen and valued. From youth programs and frontline services to local events and emergency planning, I’ve built a broad skill set grounded in empathy, action and follow-through.
Since being elected to Town Council in 2021, I’ve worked hard to bring a collaborative, transparent and steady presence to the table. I serve on multiple committees, contribute to policy development and stay actively engaged with residents and community partners.
But above all—I show up. Whether it’s coaching soccer, chairing events, volunteering in the community, or having real conversations with residents; I believe in leadership that works with people, not above them.
Coalhurst is already a great place to live. I’m running for mayor because I believe we can keep making it better together.
